Do I need to Bring Anything:
No, you will be given a set up double pointed needles to take home to complete your own pair of socks as well as our exclusive patterns and yarn.

Fair Isle knitting is a knitting technique used to create pictures or images within your knitting using different colours (this is also known as “stranded colour work knitting”). In this workshop you will learn two-colour fair isle and how to knit a traditional snowflake design.
The Nordic snowflake is a very popular design to knit in fair isle and this is what you will be knitting up whilst learning how to knit fair isle. Once you’ve learnt the technique you will be able to follow fair isle patterns and charts without a problem.
In this class you will make a cute little fair isle sachet. Enough yarn is supplied to make one sachet. Fill with some lavender for a lovely smelly item or just hang it somewhere in your home for a Nordic touch.
Intermediate - You must be able to knit and purl comfortably

You will receive the pattern for both the mini version of the socks and the adult size.

Fun Fact about socks: One of the earliest known examples of knitting (formed on two sticks by pulling loops through loops) were a pair of cotton socks found in Egypt from the first millennium A.D.

What Do I receive?:
Option One:
Receive the needles only without yarn
- You will get a set of DPNS needed to knit up socks

- You will need to supply a small ball DK yarn

What is in the Kit:
There are two options to choose from. You can choose to receive a full kit that contains:
- A set of DPNS knitting needles
- Yarn in contrasting colours
- A printout of the handout
- An individually wrapped Tea-pigs teabag because what's crafting without tea, when you're called Tea and Crafting!
If you like an easy quick knit then these seamless mittens are a winner. Knit yourself a pair of cute mittens and keep those hands toasty all winter. This class is taught by our expert resident knitter who will guide you through knitting a mini pair of mittens in the class. You will take home the pattern for the adult size version which follows the same principle, just using a few more stitches.
In this workshop you will not only learn how to use double pointed needles but you will also learn how to shape your knitting neatly. The end result is a gorgeous pair of mittens that require no sewing up at the end. We love easy knits and projects with minimal sewing too!
Beyond Beginner - must be confident doing the knit and the purl stitch
