Abstract Embroidery - Statement Hoop

A relaxed, experimental and mindful embroidery class, introducing you to hand embroidery. We will explore colour, create texture and develop shapes, using a wide variety of yarns, threads and beads and learning different embroidery stitches at the same time.

Whether you're brand new to embroidery or looking to try something fresh, this class is for you! It's a fun, modern twist on traditional stitching – so relaxing and creative that many of our students come back for more. Led by the lovely Ruth, you'll stitch your own unique piece on a 7” wooden hoop and learn how to back and finish it, ready to hang at home. Plus, Ruth’s beautiful kits usually retail for £40+, so you’re getting amazing value and expert guidance.


Our workshops include unlimited tea, coffee and sweet treats. If you require gluten free or vegan sweet treats please let us know!

Relaxing and addictive!

I loved this class. At first we were all a little tentative, having no pattern or rules to follow, but our teacher inspired us and it turned out to be really liberating, relaxing and creative! We all "got in the zone" and it was interesting to see how different our pieces were. It's a lovely easy craft to pick up and do on the train or in front of the telly - I feel a (another) craft addiction coming on!

So relaxing

I think this course is the most relaxing and run way to spend a Sunday morning in lovely Covent garden. Our tutor made to morning so relaxing , inspiring us but letting us just create. It was great having access to so many different threads. The classroom is so light and lovely to be in. Great value getting one on one tutoring from such an artist
