Sashiko embroidery has been taking the crafting world by storm recently and we are boarding that crafting train too! Our workshops are The Handmade Festival this year sold out in days and we think you Londoner's will love it too. The name Sashiko literally translates into 'little stabs' which honestly is a perfect description for what you do to create entrancing patterns.
During our Sashiko embroidery class you will learn all about the history of this style of embroidery, learn all of our tips and tricks on how to make stunning designs as well as walk home with a finished Sashiko design in a wooden hoop to hang on your wall. You will then move onto stitching your own tote bag.
Once you've learned this style of embroidery you'll be dying to try it again, it's that addictive! You can Sashiko everything from clothing, to tote bags, cushion covers, wall hangings . . .
Please get in touch if you are a family living together or part of a "support bubble" so we can make arrangements for you to sit together.
Reduced to 6 per workshop, we have decided to leave our seating at 2m apart.
Do I Need to Bring Anything:
No you don't, we provide you with your own beginners Sashiko kit to keep.
All our workshops include unlimited tea, coffee and we always have plenty of cake on offer at every workshop and vegan friendly biscuits. If you require gluten free sweet treats please let us know!
If you can't take an in-person class why not try this class as a live and interactive online class? More info here.
