Sewing
If you're shopping for someone else but not sure what to give them ... why not treat them to a Tea & Crafting gift voucher. Our vouchers can be used on any workshop across the site and are automatically delivered by email with instructions to redeem them at checkout. Vouchers are valid for 12 months (however classes can be booked for a date that is beyond the 12 month period). We know that sometimes gift cards are bought with a workshop in mind, however in the event that the workshop ceases to run, you will not be eligible for a refund. However we have an extensive range of workshops and are always adding so we hope that something tempts you!
We now have the option of a physical gift card! Please let us know that you'd like one of these at the time of booking, if we don't get a message we will assume you prefer to send your voucher via email. Also please bear in mind that the last day for Christmas posting is 19th of December.
Get to know your sewing machine and leave the class with a machine sewn handbag - the perfect accessory to your wardrobe to carry all your bits around. This is also a great class to learn how to upcycle some of your unloved garments into perfect gifts for family and friends.
The class is aimed at those crafty souls new to using sewing machines or those who’ve not used one for a while. In this session you will learn how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, change needles and tips to sew in a straight line.
We keep this class small with a limit of only 4 people so you will get plenty of guidance and tuition over the 3 hours.
Make sure you try our next stage sewing workshop and make a gorgeously cute pouch. Click here to learn how to insert zips & buttonholes after you have attended this class.

You'll need to bring the fabric for your sack we recommend a metre of pattered fabric that is 100% cotton. You can also sewing with upholstery fabric too if you wanted something even stronger. We have pom pom makers, buttons and trims for you to use to your hearts content!
All our workshops include unlimited tea, coffee and we always have plenty of cake on offer at every workshop and vegan friendly biscuits. If you require gluten free sweet treats please let us know!
If you've met the T&C team you'll know that we totally love our dungarees! They're extremely comfy, go with anything, and we can eat as much cake as we like wearing them too. Winning on all fronts!
Making your own dungarees is easy too.
No. Pattern. Required.
We will take you all the way through the process of making these during two online sewing classes, and by the end of the second week you'll have a gorgeous pair of dungarees AND know how to recreate the pattern to any size (cue those orders coming in from friends and family!).
We will ask to cut out the pieces prior to the first session (this saves us a lot of time so we get sewing in the online classes) but don't worry we have made a really easy worksheet for you to walk through at your own pace and our resident expert sewer is on hand to help you through it if you get stuck - you just need to drop us an email and we'll arrange a callback to help you.
Suitable for both beginners and improvers, although we do ask you to be comfortable being able to set up your own machine.
