I used this old hula hoop as my wreath base and covered it in tinsel.

Link here to the garland. I love this garland as its long enough to fit around the large hula hoop with just enough of a gap for a bow to fit in nicely to cover it up.

It also has such a great variety of large and small baubles. I used cotton to secure it onto the hula hoop, you don't need to be neat or strategic just get it attached to the hoop.
