Needle felting is a delightful and therapeutic craft that allows you to sculpt soft wool into beautiful shapes and designs. Join us for this ONE OFF seasonal workshop of 2023 needle felting a super cute Robin with Hanne Crank. Suitable for beginners, as well as those with a little experience, this class teaches you the basic needle felting techniques in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Using lovely soft, English wool, and just a small needle, marvel as your pretty Robin comes to life in your hands creating the perfect rustic Christmas decoration for your home.
Hanne is a needle felting artist from the Lake District, where she creates natural, whimsical wool sculptures. Always reflecting the beauty of the north, her creations are made using local wool from Beatrix Potter’s farms and are sold throughout the South Lakes and beyond. We are so delighted to have her visit us for this special workshop.

Do I Need to Bring Anything:
You will be provided with high-quality felting materials, including colorful wool roving, felting needle, and a foam pad. Learn how to sculpt and shape these materials into a charming robin that captures the holiday spirit. All materials and equipment are provided and you will receive a kit to take home too that contains enough wool to make another robin as well as a needle and specialist needle felting mat!

No. A selection of colourful yarn, pattern, crochet guide and a crochet hook will be provided for you to take home with you. This class doesn't include all the yarn to crochet a blanket but we give you lots of tips on where you can get it.

Get to know your sewing machine and leave the class with a machine sewn handbag - the perfect accessory to your wardrobe to carry all your bits around. This is also a great class to learn how to upcycle some of your unloved garments into perfect gifts for family and friends.
The class is aimed at those crafty souls new to using sewing machines or those who’ve not used one for a while. In this session you will learn how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, change needles and tips to sew in a straight line.
We keep this class small with a limit of only 4 people so you will get plenty of guidance and tuition over the 3 hours.

You'll need to bring the fabric for your sack we recommend a metre of pattered fabric that is 100% cotton. You can also sewing with upholstery fabric too if you wanted something even stronger. We have pom pom makers, buttons and trims for you to use to your hearts content!

This is a 2.5 hour practical silver jewellery making workshop where you will learn the basics of silver jewellery making using sterling silver. It's an excellent introductory workshop to silver jewellery making without spending a fortune on an intensive course. You will turn a flat strip of sterling silver into a beautiful precious ring with a choice of textures, shapes and sizes to allow for creativity and to make it unique to your own style. You will end the class setting a stone in your ring for added elegance.
There is an option for our tutor to take your item home to have it gold plated or rose gold plated. Please enquire about the cost to have this done.
You will learn how to use various jewellery making tools to manipulate the silver into shape and add texture to your ring whilst learning how jewellers polish their jewellery and set a stone in rings.
