A Close Knit Community in Kent
This is extraordinary.
A small group of 12 knitting addicts knitted this whole village of Mersham in Kent. It has taken them 23 years in total to knit this village. They have knitted up 60 properties, complete with wheelie bins, outdoor loos, gas tanks, cars in the driveways and even a smart red telephone box.
When it was finished, the village was put displayed at fetes and craft fairs and it has raised more than £10,000 for the village hall fund.
