Crochet

I love a cozy and never thought about a beer can cozy. An awesome idea. How about these beer can and coffee/tea cup cozies?  Simple to crochet and they don’t require much yarn or time. Click here for the pattern. A beer can cozy has got to be original!

Knitting

If you haven’t visited the Purl Bee blog then set aside an hour and click on the link and have a good nose through. Its one of the loveliest craft blogs out there that covers mostly sewing, knitting and crochet. One day I will make to New York and visit their shop …. I particularly love these golf club covers.

Sewing

Ah who doesn’t like a good bow tie? The Liberty Blog has a gorgeously well laid out and explained tutorial on how to sew this bow tie. Don’t forget you can also upcycle an old shirt to make this bow tie but I do love the zoo fabric.

Embroidery

If embroidery is your craft du jour then this is a simple enough present to embroider in a couple of hours and would look too cute on a wall. Simply trace along everyone’s hand and embroider the outline using a simple backstitch or outline stitch. If you would like your hoop to co-ordinate with your stitching then cover your hoop with fabric or ribbon to match.
