If you haven’t visited the Purl Bee blog then set aside an hour and click on the link and have a good nose through. Ah who doesn’t like a good bow tie? The Liberty Blog has a gorgeously well laid out and explained tutorial on how to sew this bow tie. Don’t forget you can also upcycle an old shirt to make this bow tie but I do love the zoo fabric.
If embroidery is your craft du jour then this is a simple enough present to embroider in a couple of hours and would look too cute on a wall. Simply trace along everyone’s hand and embroider the outline using a simple backstitch or outline stitch. If you would like your hoop to co-ordinate with your stitching then cover your hoop with fabric or ribbon to match. Find the tutorial here.
