I am asked this many many times in the classes I teach so I thought I would create a simple graphic with approximate stitches to guide any of you wanting to crochet a blanket for someone.

These are approximate stitches only and this does not take into account your number of turning chains i.e if Round 1 is made up of dc (US) or tr (UK) then you need to chain + 3 to start the new round.
