Knitted Aviator Hat
Happy New Year!
Well it has been so long since I last posted and let’s face it my blogging frequency sucks! I know if I am to get more followers and make Tea & Crafting a success I need to blog more and then some more and then a lot more. So here I am, however already a week late in January, but I can blame my new Mac for that! Having a baby and learning how to use a Mac when I have been a PC girl all my life (and I am not bad on the PC at all, my brother is an IT genius and my dad is almost as good as my brother but not quite ha ha) so computers have been in our lives since forever. But I took the plunge in December and decided to trade in the PC for a Mac. I can’t say I haven’t looked back since because its really taking me a long time to get used to it and its quite frustrating too.
I have just finished this cute little hat for my little by, Joshua. It didn’t take me long to knit up at all and I got the pattern from designer Julie Taylor of Lovefibres, if you want to purchase a copy then just click here. The hat is a little big still for Joshua but I love it.
I used Debbie Bliss Andes wool a gorgeous blend of 65% Baby Alpaca and 35% Silk to say it feels soft is an understatement. However in hindsight I don’t think this was the right yarn for the project and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino would definitely have knitted up the pattern better.
