What Do I Receive in the Kit:
You will need to have a crochet hook and wool for the class, OR you can pick the kit option and we will send you everything you need to start this addictive crochet stitch - this includes a crochet hook and wool so you don't need to go out and get this.
Whichever option you go for you will also receive a digital download of the handout as well as a recording of the class available for the next 30 days. Please note that we may not be able to give you the colour yarns that are in the product pictures. But if you are very keen for a specific colour do let us know and we can try our best!
In this online class you'll make either a candle gift set of four mini candles or two larger ones. You'll use an eco friendly blend of soy wax, hemp wick and paraben free fragrance. We call these mini tins of joy and me time!
No matter which scent you choose the candles that you will make will have approximately 15 hours burn time each (30 hours for the larger ones). Which is a perfect time for you to enjoy the scents you choose. At the end of the class you will have learnt the art of making the perfect candle and would have created a memorable gift set of candles to keep forever.

You will receive the pattern for both the mini version of the socks and the adult size.
Once you’ve got the hang of the technique, it’s a piece of cake and we suspect you’ll find yourself hooked. Thick socks, ankle socks, footie socks, slipper socks, sock puppets… we could go on.
Fun Fact about socks: One of the earliest known examples of knitting (formed on two sticks by pulling loops through loops) were a pair of cotton socks found in Egypt from the first millennium A.D.

You will learn about the tools of calligraphy and technique, learning how to write each letter of the alphabet. Sew (sorry! Not sorry!) you are pretty confident with sewing straight lines, huh? But what about all those shapes that have curved edges? Well, this class is the go-to class for learning how to sew a curve! During this 2 part workshop we will show you how to make this curved quilted block, which you can turn into a wall hanging, so you can add a few more pieces to make a cushion cover, or add even more pieces to make an entire quilt!
Part One Covers:
- How to cut quilting pieces accurately
- How to piece them together efficiently.
- Best way to iron the block
Part Two Covers:
- How to assemble your quilt sandwich
- How to quilt the three layers together
- How to bind it and finish it off professionally
- How to add dowel holders if you would like to turn your piece into a wall hanging (see image)

Fair Isle knitting is a knitting technique used to create pictures or images within your knitting using different colours (this is also known as “stranded colour work knitting”). In this workshop you will learn two-colour fair isle and how to knit a summery flower design.
The flower design is a very popular design to knit in fair isle and this is what you will be knitting up whilst learning how to knit fair isle. Once you’ve learnt the technique you will be able to follow any fair isle pattern or chart without a hitch! Fair isle will no longer seem impossible.
In this live online class you will make a cute little fair isle sachet. Enough yarn is supplied in your kit to make one sachet. Fill with some lavender for a lovely smelly item or just hang it somewhere in your home for a handmade touch.
Intermediate - You must be able to knit and purl comfortably

What is in the Kit:
There are two options to choose from. You can choose to receive a full kit that contains:
- A set of DPNS knitting needles
- Yarn in contrasting colours
- A printout of the handout

The reason we love teaching you how to read crochet charts as well as crochet patterns is that then you can go on to understand crochet in any language! There are many patterns written in charts and its an easy visual to see what you need to do and often helpful in deciphering the pattern. So why not join us and master the art of crochet charts AND written crochet patterns?
This class also includes our free pattern to make one of our stylish crochet baskets. We will also give you tips on how to create an ombre effect if you like that look too.

What Do I Need for the Class:
You will just need to have a crochet hook and lots of scrap yarn and a piece of paper for all your note making. Although we will send you a great handout to keep.
If you don't have a printer at home you can choose the option for us to post you some charts as its useful to be able to make notes against the patterns and charts that we will be referring to but not essential. You will receive a recording of this class for future reference too.
Amigurumi dolls are big news in Japan and quite frankly we aren’t surprised – cute, dinky and each one with buckets of personality. Make like the Tokyo cool-kids and learn the basics of Amigurumi in this lesson. You will learn to: to crochet in the round increase and decrease learn how to crochet the using the single crochet stitch (US) / double crochet (UK)
What You Need:
You will need a few grams of wool and the corresponding crochet hook. If you have a stitch marker that is useful too but if not we have a hack to show you what you can use at home.

You will receive our instructional booklet with the pattern to make all our amigurumi toys in the photos as well as a video recording of the workshop to keep hold of and refer back to.
Jane will also provide you with a host of information on where to find some free patterns, some great amigurumi websites and inspiration as well as a 20% discount code you can use at Lovecrafts to purchase wool, hooks, needles and all your others crafty supplies.
Summer is all about comfy, flowing dresses and now we've created the PERFECT one to take you through the entire Summer and even better No. Pattern. Required.
We will teach you the entire process of making the dress from scratch which includes how to take measurements to make a dress to you beautifully, during two online sewing classes, and by the end of the second week you'll have a gorgeous dress AND know how to recreate the pattern to any size (cue those orders coming in from friends and family!).
We will be focussing on a few different sewing skills this session:
- Bias binding to the neck lining
- Gathering the skirt
- Creating an easy fastening (no zips required!)
CLASSES ARE RECORDED AND YOU WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF THE WORKSHOP TO DOWNLOAD IN CASE YOU MISS THE CLASS OR WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Do get in touch if you are unsure about your fabric length as we can help work it out before you buy! We suggest buying fabric that is lightweight but with drape; so cotton lawn, linen, double gauze or cotton poplin is perfect.
We will ask to cut out the pieces prior to the first session (this saves time so we get sewing in the online classes). We have made a really easy step by step worksheet for you to go through at your own pace and our resident expert sewer is on hand to help you through it if you get stuck - you just need to drop us an email and we'll arrange a callback to help you. You will also receive a video to help you measure yourself perfectly.
Are you a yarn lover like us? Well if you are you may know how hard it is to find that perfect shade you're looking for! Or a skein of yarn combining all your favourite colours? Or you simply want to put your own stamp on some yarn and make your me-made, truly me-made.
Jane has been dying fabric and yarn like mad this year and will talk you through all her tips and tricks she's learnt along the way. She will also talk you through how to manipulate the intensity of dyes and how that will affect the shades that appear on your yarn. We will learning how to dye with chemical dyes and Jane will give you some tips on naturally dying yarn too although this workshop will focus on chemical dying.
Level:
Everyone can dye yarn, no previous craft knowledge needed.
